[alfa] Re: Wheel Paint and Burning Magnesium

On the subject of the "proper" silver for painting Alfa wheels, I believe the common wisdom has been to use a BMW color known as "Polaris Silver".  However, there are several paints available in spray cans off the shelf at good auto paint stores that are close.

As far as burning magnesium goes, it certainly can be spectacular under the right (or wrong circumstances).  Remember Pierre Levegh's Mercedes crashing into the crowd at the 1955 Le Mans race that killed 80 plus spectators?
