Contemplate throwing it away and getting a better one. In California, a
non-running, needing-restoration, but otherwise solid '78 spider is likely
worth no more than $500. Hell, I've been _given_ two or three spiders of
various vintages. Not sure where you are, but shipping coast to coast can
generally be done for around $800.
