[alfa] 2nd gear synchro 156

We rented a Alfa 156 in Italy two years ago and the second gear crunch was
quite pronounced on normal shifting.  I had to double clutch to prevent it.
My '92 Spider and Giulia Supers only crunch if I shift too hard and fast.
If I'm reasonably gentle-no problem.  I wonder if the trans on the 156 was
damaged or if they are all like that?
