need roof rack fit kit for 164S

I've done a foolish thing ... I bought a 16 foot kayak before I checked into
roof racks for my 1991 164S (yes, a "lesser model" according to that recent
thread!) ... Thule made a fit kit (#108) but discontinued it due to low sales.
I can't bear to drill the roof.  Does anyone have a lead on the fit kit, or an
idea about an alternative remedy?

I have indeed put the cart before the horse, but I hate to sell the kayak over
this.  Thanks, and a free kayak tour of Seattle if you can bail me out of this
