Alfa Fugone (van)

Are you referring to the Romeo 2 (50s and 60s) or the F-12 (70s)? These
vans are about the size of a VW van. The F-12 came with an Alfa twin cam
engine or a Perkins diesel. Both had a front transaxle and the van
therefore was able to have a lower floor than US vans such as the Ford
Econoline-great for loading heavy stuff. Mine is a diesel F-12 which spent
most of its life in Brescia, Italy hauling Alfa parts around the city. It
would be good for that-it's strong, slow and loud-could haul a load of pig
iron up a cliff. Not great for cruising on the highway-- though I did have
it up to 100 once (uh, that's kph!)
