Re: avoiding dash cracks
AFAIK tint films are illegal on forward glass here in Australia.
I don't know that UV is the only problem when it comes to dashboards. I
think that the early plastic just seems rather brittle and tends to shrink,
pulling itself away from the foam substrate. Cracks inevitably ensue in the
now unsupported portions of the plastic covering.
