Re: Giulia front suspension,
66 Giulia TI
stock
anti roll bar diameter .940" ( 23.5mm)
front coil spring wire diameter .67"(17 mm)
Front shock info:
The BOGE shocks are a full inch longer (16" fully extended) than the KYB gas
adjust (15"), heads up IAP..... the car was handling funny and with the car
on the ground I found I could push down on a front fender but it would not
pull up,... weird, the KYB were at full extension. I don't know how the
above would affect the spider and GT cars.
A little note on the ALFAS BY THE BEACH, being a native I offered to lead
the way to the beach, I was followed by a 164....
now the last time I drove one was when they were offered as rentals by
Hertz(?) it was an automatic, remember it was nice and a fast hiway car but
with front drive qualities. Anyway later that evening the folks in the 164
said they were hard pressed to keep up, I said" what? " I made sure to drive
moderately but I suppose in the point and squirt of city driving the 5.12
rear and veloce engine make for a quick combo.....heheh... surprised me! I
never thought of a 164 as a slouch.
