Hi Jonathan & Greg:

The transmission has to come out to r&r the backup light switch. But, check the wires first. They're exposed to all the elements and grease/oil down there, and I've simply cleaned/tightened the connections that hang down by the left side of the transmission, with positive results.

oops--I accidentally deleted the reference to a 1992 Spider.  Re the backup
light switch in the bell housing, I got the 91-94 Alfa service manual, and
it is not clear on this.
