jumped timing (dead Milano)

Both jumped timing and "broken" timing belt are very easy to check. Take
the round covers off the timing cover and look at the cam sprockets. If
the marks line up with the pointers with the crank at TDC, timing is OK.
If when you turn the engine over, either by hand or with the starter, the
timing belt doesn't move, the teeth are stripped down at the crank pulley.
Since the car was moved on the starter for 20 feet, I don't think you'd
feel abnormal resistance as any valve/piston interference eliminated
already when the valves bent.
