Re: Alfa Factory+Museum
What do you need to know? Generally, you should be able to get all the
visitor information you need at:
http://www.museoalfaromeo.com/english/index.htm
But to get you started, here is some general info:
The Alfa Romeo Museum is north-west of Milan in Arese (the street name
is Viale Alfa Romeo), and you can reach it from main road 233
Milan-Varese , or else from the Milano-Laghi A8-A9 motorway, exiting at
the Arese tollbooth, just after the barrier for Milano Nord.
Book your visit to the Museum on-line. For groups of at least 10
people, the Museum will provide an expert guide who will accompany you
with commentary in Italian or English.
The Alfa Romeo Museum is open to the public Monday to Friday, from 9.00
a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. We recommend booking
at least 15 days in advance.
Booking is also required for individual visitors (no guide is provided).
The visit is free for everyone.
The Museum will be closed from July 28 to August 31, 2003.
You can contact:

for more info.
But be advised that there is no Alfa production at Arese anymore. Most
Alfas (147, 156, 166) are built at Pomigliano D'Arco, near Naples (the
old 'Alfa Sud' plant) and the Spider/GTV coupe production is done by
PinninFarina near Turin.
It is not possible to get an Alfa Romeo factory tour - even if you're a
journalist - I know, I tried. I can get into Ferrari, Maserati, even
Lamborghini, but not Alfa Romeo.
I hope this helps'
