alloy wheels
Hi Digesters,
looking at the 101 series wheels one only finds the steel ones in 4.5 or 5X15
inches or some welded together stuff or some Technomagnesia alloys up to
5.5X15. If you wish to put some state of the art rubber on your car you can
only take some modern rims which do usually not match the look of the car. I
discussed this with a OEM Company doing wheels and it seems that there is a
possibility of casting alloy wheels in the looks of the 101 triangular design
in 5.5, 6 or 6.5 width. This would allow to use new tire technology without
tubes and less weight by keeping the same looks. The price is depending on the
number of wheels made. What do you think. Can we find enough people to make it
become real? Are you loving your stock equipment? Do you go the welding way to
get wide? Or do you fit custom wheels out of your speed shop around the
corner?
