Electric Impact Tools?

I know pneumatic tools are better easier cheaper in
long rung, but noise is limiting factor for a quiet
townhome establishment and automotive works are
limited.

I am thinking of the electric impact tools, many
offer variable speeds, up to 240ftlb torque,
in some cases,ie milwakee makes one up to 300 ftlb.
The cost also varies from under $50 to near $300..

Are these electric impact tool worth the investment?
any pros-cons about these tools?

Thanks

Jess <-- the only other powertool's an 14.4V cordless
driver/drill
