I have read, once or twice at best, news snippets
about two upcoming events in the San Francisco area
but was hoping to find more information.....

1.  Cannonball 3000 - 5th running of the latest
incarnation of the infamous cross country is to start
17 April in SF and finish in Miami.  Does anyone know
where I can go tmrw to see the start???  What better
way to start a Thursday morning than to watch (hear)
outrageously expensive cars start on a speeding ticket
collecting frenzy?

2. Giulietta Cinquanti Anni - (AD post on 3 Feb) - Any
more information on the celebration that is to take
place 24 April to 2 May?  There was to be an 'Alfa
Mille' to run concurrent with the California Mille.
