I had a very good outcome with my really old 164 CarDisk and Windows XP.
I emailed Leo at carDisk and he made me a very generous offer to sell me the 
current CarDisk at a deep discount. Shipped it right out to me.
Leo really didn't have to do this for me. He's a class act.

My understanding, from reading the Cardisc Homepage, is that the XP
patch, or rather new software is for the 2.0 versions. I tried to
download it, and it doesn't install my 1.3 versions of the Spider and
GTV6 discs... I had problems with the NT operating system, too, but the
cd2html program by Thomas Washburn (sp?) cured that.
