RE: valve shims

All I can find is 01.89.01 which effectively states that the hardened shims
(identified with the groove) can be used in the 4 cylinder engines as well
as the 6 cylinder engines. 

The non-hardened shims (no groove) can be used in the 4 cylinder engines,
but are NOT to be used in the 6 cylinder engines.

Does 01.94.01 say something different?

If any of you are really curious about the interchangability of valve 
shims should look at alfa service bulletin 01-94-01. If you have a car 
disc of pretty much any persuasion it should be there.
