FS: 1995 164Q

Hi all,
I have a friend, named Karl believe it or not, who lives in the same town as
me (Champaign, IL), who is selling his 1995 164Q. He is selling because he has
recently moved to central Illinois to work at the University of Illinois and
can no longer have his 164 worked on anywhere near here. His car is truly
immacculate and gorgeous, has always been garaged, and is in perfect
condition. It has tan leather interior in immacculate condition (and this tan
leather is FAR better leather than the earlier 164 tan leather), LCD display
works perfectly. Recent (<2K miles) timing belt. NO oil leaks whatsoever (not
even rear main seal). Suspension works perfectly. Car has 111K miles. 16" OZ
Vulcano wheels with recent tires, I believe. Euro headlights upgrade,
electronically controlled from inside the car (window switch installed in the
center console).
Many of the recent miles have been highway miles between IL and NY and it
makes little sense for him to keep racking up thousands and having maintenance
performed in NY.
He is asking $13K firm, which is a very reasonable price for this rare car in
fantastic condition. Pictures area available upon request to Karl at
kramerk@domain.elided.
For those who do not know, the 1995 Q was the last year alfa imported cars to
the U.S., and only 30 of these were ever sold, making them a rare find. 230hp
24V V6, about 47hp more than a 164L and 30hp more than an S. It has the same
gear ratios as a 164S, but the transmission has better synchros and a reverse
lockout mechanism. Truly a dreamcar.
I have no financial interest in the car, but am mentioning the car to the
digest on his behalf as a friend.
