Berlina windshield
I called a local glass place to see what it would cost to repair a couple of
stone chips on my '73 Berlina windshield. After some research they told me
that they could get a new windshield for $150.00 (is this possible?) but I
would need to bring the car in to see what would be involved with installing
it. This is a glued in windshield with stainless trim. Any caveats before I
take the car by tomorrow (for the estimate, not the install)? Is there a good
method for removing and reinstalling this trim without destroying it?
Anything else to make the installer aware of? Should I just see if they'll
get the windshield and let me install it if their costs are too high?
Although I don't see any real rust problems around the windshield, I'd like to
clean it up and rust proof it before the new glass goes in but I've never
installed a windshield before. TIA.
