Karl: I would not substitute 5/16th" for 8 mm. Here on the mild Pacific
Coast (Vancouver, BC) there is enough shrinkage on a cool day to allow leaks
at start-up. Should the weather turn cold you are pretty well assured of a
gentle leak of gasoline until under hood temperatures rise. It isn't worth
