BTCC /ETCC are bumper cars, F1 is elitist, but...NASCAR SUCKS!

The BTCC in particular sometimes seems a grossly overcrowded demolition derby.
Still, it's pretty exciting! I just don't think you should be able
to 'shoulder' other competitors out of the way and dent up all those cool
looking race cars.

F1 technology, speed, and European flair is really incredible to watch.
Unfortunately the competition aspect is lost to the mega-dollar 'arms race'
leaving a few golden teams with unlimited budgets and teenage wonder boy
drivers with paddle shifters and drive-by-wire interfaces.

NASCAR is just nauseating! This is now the most elaborate media con-job since
professional wrestling. Why do you think the awards ceremony is a black-tie
affair in NEW YORK CITY? Do you think these country good 'ol boys evolved
stock car racing into the fastest growing spectator sport on their own?
EVERYTHING is scripted and slick, slick, slick! It's BIG yankee advertising
firms that know how to appeal to the lowest common denominator to make the big
money. It's not about racing, it's about PRODUCT PLACEMENT and all the
stupid 'officially-licensed' NASCAR consumables the rednecks are fighting each
other over! This is BIG business here in Charlotte, North Carolina. Forget
about Ford beating Chevy! It's now Pepsi vs. Coke vs. Viagra vs. UPS etc.

Now WIA ProRally, that's a different story...just watch out for that moose on
the road in the middle of the Swedish forest in the snow at 140 mph! You just
have to be impressed by the sheer driving ability of these guys. How come Alfa
Romeo doesn't have a WIA ProRally team? I would love to hear the navigator
screaming in Italian!

Only my opinion, sorry to offend!
