Wnen doing a head gasket R&R, Chase the stud threads with the proper 
die , clean the studs below the thread with fine steel wool.  When all 
else is ready to install and the block is surgically clean, drop the 
gasked on and VERY carefully coat the studs with a very thin coat of 
good anti-seeze, Diont get ANY on the gasket.  Next time the head(s) 
come off EASY.  Fred
