Acceleration Times

In cleaning up some stuff at home on the VERY snowy day, I came across my
R&T compilation of Alfa road tests. Since this issue comes up every so
often, I thought I would post some of the results, and some of the car's
peers, if they gave those results , (0-60 and top speed):

Milano 3.0 7.5/136 MPH
BMW 325ES 9.0 (no top speed)
Peugeot 505STX 9.8 (no top speed)

Milano 2.5 9.0/116

GTV/6 Callaway (Aug. '85 test): 6.2/137 "est." MPH
GTV/6 8.5/130 "est." MPH
Maserati BiTurbo 6.3 (no top speed)
Porsche 944 9.0 (ditto)

BTW, quoted horsepower for the Callawy was 230 HP/245 lb ft and price was
about $27k, a good 10k over the regular GTV/6.

For the Spider:

Quadrofoglio (1986 test):
11.0/110 MPH (compared to the Prelude 2.0Si at 9.1 and Toyota MR2 at 8.4)

Veloce (1987) 10.8/103

Veloce (1982) 13.2/108 (as compared to Fiat Spider Turbo 9.8 and Triumph TR8
at 8.4) (a 1981 test model in which the editors comment that it felt and was
tested to be markedly slower than a 1980 even after being checked out by the
Alfa techs).;

No road tests of later models, such as 164 or later versions of the Spider,
as my book only included tests from 1977 to 1989.
