non-Alfa racecar advice sought



I have a question for all the seasoned racers on the list--what are the pros & cons of a balance bar vs. an adjustable proportioning valve for tuning brake balance? If it matters, the car in question is a little open-wheel thing with a rear weight bias and a single inboard brake in the rear, working both wheels through a limited-slip dif.
