    I've generally had good luck with the "double nut method" i'm sure
you've already tried WD and tapping on the end gently with a good solid
hammer......
     maybe some light heat and a few days will help.
    i would think that as long as the threads are good, if you can get
it out with vice grips, you ought to be able to dbl nut it.
