Re: Spider trunk cable broken

Peter Krause gave this suggestion at a tech session a few years ago: Open the
panel behind the trunk handle. See if you can access the end of the actuating
wire with a pair of pliers and pull it. If not, grab housing and all with a
pair of vice grips and pull. You may destroy the cable assembly, but that is
easy to replace.

Subject: '79 Spider trunk cable broken

Hi all,

I've got a problem and I hope some of you have dealt with this. On my '79
Spider, the cable that opens the trunk from the driver's side door jam has
broken somewhere, probably at the connection to the lock mechanism.

Any better thoughts?
