1984?



Here's an amusing little quote from an article in the latest AROC (UK) 
newsletter.  The writer is referring to the rebuild of his 2-litre engine:

"There was a date stamp of '84 on the pistons, so someone had already 
replaced them, and as the car was off the road shortly after that time, they 
had done very little mileage.  As this was the case, I decided to keep the 
standard pistons...."

For those not familiar with the inside of a twin cam engine, the number 
stamped on the pistons is the bore in millimetres......
