Re: Emissions Testing....Passing 2500 RPM HC, yet Fails Idle HC test. (UPDATE)



Thanks for all tips!

After a quick temp test of the CAT....it read 250
degrees in front of the cat, and 250 degrees on the
exhaust end.  It was dead.  So no wonder I was failing
the HC test at Idle.  Kinda surprised I even passed
the 2500 RPM test.  

I had the cat replaced in a matter of 1 hr. (Cost:
$175).  

Too bad the SMOG shop was closed.  The final-final
test will have to wait.
