Heel and toe tricks...
Besides the shankle kit, you can pretty easily modify the pedal to lower it.
There are only 2 screws holding the pedal onto the lever, and you'll see
that the pedal actually raises from the lever arm some distance. My car
didn't have one when I bought it, the P.O. used a simple sheet metal piece
as the pedal. When I put on the shankle kit, I though I could use an
original pedal, with no success- so I went back to the simple plate.
The GRM Challenge Spider was converted to a Bosch style intake, so the
lever changed from a puller to a pusher... But I did a similar thing with
it- made a cool pedal out of sheet aluminum. Then adjusted the system so
that wide open was at the floor, then the pedal is pretty darn comfortable,
and easily within reach of the side of my foot.
One cool thing is that you can play the width of the fabricated gas pedal
so that your feet will fit...
