Friends along Phoenix-LA-SF route?

I may be driving an unknown-history Berlina from Phoenix to LA and up to
Berkeley the weekend of Jan 11, 12.  I will go either I-10 to LA and up,
or alternatively US 93 up to Kingman and across I-40 to Barstow and then
CA 58 to Bakersfield, etc.  Any Alfa folks along those paths I can
contact if the need arises?  I plan to have my AAA card and my wife's
cell phone, plus a few tools and parts if they'll let me bring them on
the airplane on the way out.  Thanks for any help or leads.
