How much, if any, play is acceptable in the U-joints on a spider? I was
greasing the spline this afternoon and tested the thing. There was just
enough play in the forward joint to make shaft "click" as I moved it
back and forth while holding the forward shaft. Say, less than .5 mm.
They were changed about 6 years ago, a lot of time but not many miles.
Not a biggie if they need to be replaced, but I certainly don't want to
do it if i don't need to.
