63 spider

As a student at UW-Madison in the late '60s, I sold my beloved red '63
Giulia Spider to a kid from Two Rivers, Wis. I purchased it at Knauz
Continental in Lake Forest, Ill., and it sported two leather straps on the
front end, in what some previous owner must have deemed ... um ... cool?
They weren't there to hold the hood closed; the latch worked fine. I'd love
to know what ever happened to the car ... does it sound familiar to any
fellow digesters?
