164 24v V6 Timing Belt Retension

Hi fellow listers,

I had my timing belt, water pump, tensioner, idlers,
etc. etc. replaced about 4500 miles ago on my '94
164LS. I seem to vaguely recall suggestions that the
belt be retensioned after 5000 miles of service.
Anyone care to confirm or dispute this?
