Which is kind of funny when you realize that ALL current Alfa gasoline engines use Gilmer belts: The 2.5 liter 24-valve V-6, the 3.0 liter 24-valve V-6, the 3.2 liter, 24-valve V-6 (yeah, they have THREE V-6's!) the 1.6 liter Twin-Spark I-4. and the new 2.0 liter Twin-Spark Direct Injection I-4.

FIAT was first to use the toothed rubber belt on a DOHC motor, at least that is my recollection. Today Saturn makes a selling point on the fact that they use a chain to drive the cams on their 4 pot-a la Alfa.
