S-pistons in 3.0L 164 engine

When building up a 164L engine with the goal of squeezing a bit more power out of it, how beneficial would it be to install S-pistons? Of course, S-cams are already in the equation. The engine would be for use in a GTV6.

My understanding is that the S-pistons have a compression ratio of 10:1. Here in California the best we can do at the pump is 91 octane, or "crap gas" as my mechanic likes to call it. Will that require that the timing be retarded so much as to negate any benefit I'd see by using the S-pistons?

I have already perused the gtv6.org forums and have found little bits and pieces of info there but nothing conclusive or convincing on this topic. Just looking for a few more data points to base my decisions on.

Thanks in advance for any insight.
