There really is little practical alternative....

Note that there are now three ways to do the replacement (well, four,if
you count paying a dealer a couple grand,,,):  The original ARDONA
procedure loosening the dash and moving it out of the way, a method
(sedon, I think) of cutting away a portion of the backing behind the glove
- box, and a recently disclosed procedure out of Holland of fabricating a
couple special tools and going through the lettle removable panel aside
the glove-box.
