Sensitivity

Just in case anyone was wondering, I have supreme confidence in my taste in cars. There is nothing I like better than lively conversation about what is the "best" car for whatever. I would never seriously trash anyone's taste in cars. One of the delights of the automotive world (and one which the US Government seems intent on depriving Americans of) is the amazing breadth of choice of the "perfect" car.

I would never have believed that a Corvette could be as much plain fun to drive as the latest iteration. I thought a Bentley Turbo R was an ostentatious expression of a culture I could never identify with, until I was lucky enough to wangle a solo test drive, Wow. I dislike Porsches, having driven two or three, but not a turbo. I dislike BMW having driven a dozen or so, but never a genuine M. And so it goes. Don't get me started on Mercedes.

I have yet to drive an Alfa I didn't love. Something about those cars. I also like driving British cars and would buy an E Type in heartbeat, if they weren't so problematic.

There you have it. Feel free to comment adversely or otherwise on my taste in cars secure in the knowledge that I could love driving your favourite sled, or not.

Cheers
