Oil pan Removal

Yes you have to remove the upper oil pan to get at the Oil Pump.  This
can be done with the Engine in the car.  When I did it I jacked up the
engine via the Tranny, removed the motor mounts, which helped gain
access to some bolts.  With all of the bolts removed, the upper pan came
right out.  Be careful where the bolts go as some are different lengths.
BTW no need to remove the lower pan.
