Re: Oil pan, oil pump questions



I was able to replace the oil pump in my '86 spider with only the lower pan
off but I ended up grinding down a crowfoot wrench so that it would turn
just one flat at a time.  Took several weeks for my hands to heal.  Getting
the new pump in so that the distributor lined up correctly was another
exercise in trial(s) and error(s). I just bought a universal and sockets up
to 13mm in 1/4" drive, hoping that will help in situations where the 3/8"
won't fit.
