Non-Invasive 164 Stepper Motor Removal and Replacement

As someone who has done a couple of painful pull-the-dash-out stepper motor
replacements on 164s, I was fascinated by a posting on the web by Reis van
Kersbergen, a 164 owner in Holland, showing a detailed process to remove and
replace the stepper assembly on LHD cars through the little access door
inside the glove box without pulling apart the dash. Its a work of art in
