Re: Brake vibration
I don't know what brakes the GTV6 uses but a common source of vibration
where the rotors are true (warped rotors are obvious and easy to check,
with the suspect wheel off the ground and an assistant or a brick to put a
little drag on the brake, though those inboard rear brakes are a challenge
to check on the GTV6) is sticking calipers or caliper guide pins whichever
type of brake you have. The symptoms of sticking pins or calipers are a
grumble or rumble felt more than heard through the brake pedal. Braking is
unaffected just the sticking caliper vibrates as the run out of the rotor
causes it to move a fraction side to side. Check the pins or caliper
sliding faces and if they are grubby, clean em up and lightly lube them
with that copper brake lube.
