How to tell a 2.5 from a 3.0 V6

Can anyone tell me how to tell, from the outside, whether an Alfa V6 is
a 2.5 or a 3.0?  I thought only the 3.0's had "6C" cast into the intake
manifold, but I think that might not be correct.
