RE: lug nut torque



My owner's workshop manual says 25.3 to 28.9 for the rear and 43.4 to
57.8 for the front.  Both specs are for oiled threads.  Just as a point
of reference, my Mercedes 300sdl recommends 80 lb-ft; this for a 4,780
lb car.  Maybe 57 lb-ft isn't so light after all.

What's the proper torque for the wheel lug nuts on a '77 spider?  The
CarDisc say 43-57.  That doesn't seem very tight.
