RE: Looking for a car-- low Alfa content

164 or not, I think you're sitting on the answer either way--old-school SAAB 900's are ideal college-girl cars if you ask me, and still way more fun than a H*nda. Ain't no Alfa either....

I don't see why a nice 164B or 164L wouldn't fit the bill. Comes auto and
priced in the range.
Just my opinion of course, but I still believe Alfas can be excellent daily
drivers.
And waaaaaay more fun than a H*nda.

Help! I'm in a bit of a jam. Apologies for the low Alfa content, but I
promised my niece a car for college, and the one I was going to get fell
through. Alas, I'm looking for something <$5K, automatic, dependable, low
maintenance costs, and in the New York area.

As much as I would like to bring her into the fold with a nice trusty Alfa
(do rust free Alfas exist on the East Coast?) , practically, I think that a
Honda Accord (horrors!) would probably be best.

If anyone knows of something, please let me know.

Thanks,
Robin
