gtv 6 radiator fans

after considering the various sources that folks had, i purchased a pair of
GTV-6 radiator fans from IAP. now that i have the old fans out, i'm trying
to figure out how to make the new ones fit.

these are not OE style fans; the legs don't line up in the right spots. the
fans included a number of metal strips with holes in them; four short ones
painted black and four long ones in zinc. the four long ones appear to be
unecessary, the four short ones appear to bridge the space between the
original mounting points and the legs of the new fans.

i think i can work out a way to mount them, but prior experience of a GTV-6
owner who has done this before would be greatly appreciated.
