Spica mechanical fuel injection was introduced for US market cars in 1969.

Spica was replaced by Bosch L-jetronic in the 81-82 time frame.

there were no carb equipped US market cars after 1967. there are  a small
number of non-US market cars from post 1967 that had factory carbs which
are in the US legally. i own one (not that it actually runs or anything
like that).
