RE: Engine pulling

Kevin,

I've been there plenty of times with the tie rod problem. The last time was
within the past year when I rebuilt my 71 Spider. It was sitting outside
for over 12 years and I had to break each tie rod apart so I could replace
them. The only way I've have success is to get the trusty dragon out
(propane torch will work just fine) and heat it up the casting, not the ball
joint stud. After heating it up a bit, hit all around the casting with your
hammer. It should pop right out and if not use your pickle fork. Just make
sure you don't heat it up so much that you cook your rubber cover.
