Slow GTV-6 steering/Milanos better?

I have a GTV-6 with Milano power steering. 3 1/4 turns lock to lock is
much too slow.

Is it possible that the rack is designed with a slower response because
the Milano steering arm is shorter? (thereby speeding up the steering)

I would like to get the steering speed up to about 2 turns lock to
lock--any ideas for how to do this?? (of course, without screwing up
the geometry)
