off-topic question

Hi All Digestables,

I have an unusual request, which does not involves Alfa Romeo, but I am going to ask for
some help on this one.

I am currently building a GT40 kit car and need some Ford specific help.

I bought a Ford 5.0L EFI motor from a local company for rebuilding. Well the mechanical
rebuild went just fine and I now have a "as new" motor awaiting to be fitted to the car.
However, I am short of a couple of electrical items for the motor. The alternator has a
couple of connectors which are part of the main wiring loom. I need the two bits of loom
which hook up the alternator to the rest of the loom. Also the distributor has the TFI
module, which was broken and a friend on a trip to the USA was able to find me a
replacement in a shop in Dallas, but I am still sort of the portion of loom which has the
6 way plug to connect the TFI to the ECU.

I am planning to use the Megasquirt ECU, on which I have long discussions with the
designer, Bruce Bowling, but so far have not been able to source the required portion of
loom to connect it all up.

I had a correspondence with a company in the USA who offered to supply the TFI loom for a
huge sum, but my resources don't run to this currently as I am presently unemployed.

Is there a kind Alfistee out there in the USA who could pull these bits from a local
scrapyard. None of these parts are available here in South Africa as we only had one Ford
V8 powered car here and these bits are unobtainium here? I should be happy to reimburse
expenses for these.

I don't have much knowledge of Ford V8's so the parts description may need some
clarification. Feel free to email me for further details.

Sorry for the use of bandwidth but I really would like to get this project rolling before
I expire!
