Glenn,

Do the fault test to see what the problem is.  Mine did that last fall, and 
the fault testing showed it to be the Oxygen sensor.   I have only 50K miles 
on the car.   I replaced it and haven't had it show up, but to be truthful, I 
have only about 20 miles on the car since getting it back on the road (for 
other reasons than the sensor)
