"bad" Alfa spot in Spider Man movie

Just saw the Spider Man movie this weekend- GREAT, by the way.
BUT, there was a "bad" advertisement for an Alfa, by comparison.

As Peter Parker is looking through car ads for one to impress this girl, he
has to pass up all the more expensive BMWs, Corvettes, etc... until he gets
to the last page in the paper with a "relatively" much cheaper 70s Alfa GTV
that "needed some work for $3000." On the same page was a cheap Triumph,
maybe an MG or some other older foreign car.

He didn't get any car, in the movie, but these ads just made Alfa kinda look
like crap compared to everything else he had to pass by in the paper.
Granted, it was a 70s car, but to the general public who may have never
heard of Alfa, that kind of "positoning" in a movie doesn't lead me to
believe the "uninformed" public would want to run out and test drive a brand
new Alfa had they been in dealerships, right now.

ANyone even have a CLUE as to how GM may or may not market Alfas? Or is
everything sitll in the speculative stage? Just curious, thanks,
