The internal documents also show that Fiat intends to launch its first-ever
compact sport-utility in 2004, and is also putting lots of resources into
its resurgent Alfa Romeo brand.
Alfa will get 10 new models between now and October 2007, including
replacements, major restylings and face-lifts.

As reported, Alfa will introduce the 147 GTA this October and the Sprint, a
three-door coupe based on the 147, in December 2003. The next all-new Alfa
is the 156 replacement, code-named project 939. That model will appear in
May 2004.
Replacements for Alfa's GTV coupe, Spider and 166 flagship will be launched
between September 2004 and September 2005.
All new Alfas will be offered with four-wheel-drive versions, starting with
the 156 replacement.
